An Ancient Evil Stirs ...
After returning home from the war, Sheriff Chet Cooper just wants to live a normal life. Unfortunately, moving on isn't that simple. Then he meets Kate, the pretty school secretary, who teaches him how to live for the future rather than dwell on the past. It looks like things just might go his way. But when a troubled teenager makes a pact with an ancient evil and people start dying, Chet's dreams of a normal life are threatened. While confronting his own demons, the young sheriff finds himself plunged into a battle with a demonic power that's hellbent on destroying his town and everyone he loves.
The Summoning eBook Brady Longmore
Even before reading half of "The Summoning," I had already recommended it to a friend at work who is also an author. I didn't have much time, so I described it as "an old-fashioned ghost story." That is true to a degree, but there is much more to this book than ghosts floating through hallways. As I read, I realized that the author had given a generous amount of thought to every detail, and his love for the fictional town of Clear Creek came through loud and clear. His writing style cast a spell that all readers seek, and I enjoyed my time with Chet, Kate, and the other colorful residents of Clear Creek very much.
For its thoughtful reflection on the challenges of life we often call demons, and for its intelligent development within the horror genre, I give "The Summoning" five enthusiastic stars. I will definitely snatch up Brady Longmore's next book as soon as it is available.

The Summoning eBook Brady Longmore Reviews
A dark, twisting tale of damaged people. With an evil being that lives on and manipulates humans to it’s own purposes. How do you defeat something you don’t believe exists? A very well told tale.
I was drawn in to the story and the people from the get go. I love it when I can visualize the characters and settings as I'm reading. I found myself at work wondering what was going to happen next, and couldn't wait to be able to crank out a few more chapters once I got home! Well done Brady Longmore! Keep up the good work!
I'm Glad I found the time to read such a gripping horror/love story. Well Done Brady! I absolutely couldn't put it down and when a had to for work or family I was eager to pick it up and continue reading this amazing thriller and suspenseful novel, to see where the characters would take me next. I loved the vivid descriptive writing style, it brougt my imagination alive as I read. Thank you for including your thoughts on PTSD and how you wove that into your story telling.
I wish I could have read this book all in one sitting because I couldn't wait to find out how it ended. This could have taken place just about anywhere in the US, but with its robust descriptions, I couldn't help but picture the area around where I grew up. Speaking of robust descriptions. . .
The book was so descriptive that I was able to picture it in my head to the extent it was like watching a movie. If you are looking for a solid suspense read with a splash of romance and humor along the way, give this book a whirl.
Loved this book. The characters make you want to laugh and cry at the same time. The demons anger the hell out of you. The storyline makes you sleep with one eye open! Give this book a night or two of your time. You will not be disappointed.
Bravo Brady Longmore, I received this book as a birthday gift from my niece, and I can truthfully say it is one of the best gifts I have ever received. I am so into scary books and movies. But I am also pretty fussy about the scary books that I read. If it doesn't catch me in the first few pages. I end up not reading them. I started this book "The Summoning" and I could not put it down. Brady Longmore did not disappoint. I wanted the book to go on and on. It is very well written and what an imagination he has. Remember Brady's name everyone, because you will be seeing a lot more of his books coming out. I will be one of the first people in line at the book store or on . I wanted to give it 6 Stars but it wouldn't let me.
The Summoning takes place in a quiet, American town, just after the end of Word War Two. Like a Norman Rockwell painting, the little town of Clear Creek and her inhabitants invoke the innocence and hopefulness of that time. It's clearly evident that the author has taken great pains to create a believable and authentic setting, and the reader finds herself immediately absorbed in this world. But, all is not right in this picturesque, Mayberry-like town, as a terrible evil has begun to stir after lying dormant for a century.
The young sheriff, Chet, is a recent veteran of the war, just trying to get his life on track, but is placed on a collision course with an ancient entity that thrives on murder and destruction, when people in his town start mysteriously turning up dead. With the unexpected help of an attractive, young woman, running from her own past, the sheriff struggles to unravel the mystery, unaware that he is in a race against the clock, with everything he loves on the line.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It really does grab a hold of you form page one, and doesn't let go until the final, thrilling conclusion! The author has crafted very believable characters that I really fell in love with and found myself totally invested in them. Even the antagonist was an interesting, complicated, and even sympathetic character that I actually felt sorry for almost as much as I hated. Not just a typical villain that's bad just for the sake of being bad, like you see a lot these days.
The story has a little bit of everything horror, suspense, romance, humor, twists, and thrills. The author has a unique voice and a talent for weaving these elements into his story. When you're finished, you don't feel like you've just read a book, but experienced another life. I highly recommend it.
