A short book, but essential information for the newly published independent author. Read it before you head off to your first book fair or local craft fair/church fair. Basic advice, but still full of pearls of wisdom. I've done two book festivals, one arts festival, and a multi author book launch, and I still got something out of it.
    Good advice never goes off.
I'd be happy to recommend this book to all authors and artists who intent selling their books/products, face to face.

The Art of The Book Fair An Indie Author Guide to Selling at Book Fairs edition by Graham Watkins Reference eBooks Reviews

I found this book very easy to read with lots of practical advice for writers. So glad I read it before my first book fair!
A short but well thought-through introduction to book fair participatio, aimed at authors new to the book fair circuit. There's much more to this than sitting on your table and waiting for the books to sell, as Watkins rightfully point out. He gives an insightful reflection on the whole purpose of book fairs from the author's perspective and then lists a lot of excellent ideas how to get the most out of it.
I thought I knew all about book fairs, being a regular attendee, but I learned a lot from this.
A must read for authors and a useful check list of sorts for your next visit to a book fair.
I Loved this little book. It gives practical to the point info every novice needs to know. Pat Frayne award winning author of Topaz and the Green Fairies
This book is a godsend. I tripled my typical sales since I adopted the suggested practices!
My first book fair experience was very similar to Mr. Graham's. My second will be very different, thanks to this book. Thank you for your insight and willingness to share. This book will be read and reread. My only wish is that it was a paperback I could highlight, write in thew margins, and flag pages.
As someone who has done plenty of book fairs & craft markets, this book wasn't so helpful - but I agreed with the author's opinions. An excellent book for someone who is about to attend their first book fair, or who needs some encouragement and advice.
